Review vs Lions R12 2025

Perkins doesn’t fit in with what you say matters. That should be a change

Good time for a 10 day break, the boys will be feeling pretty good after that.

Load up for the blues and pump em!!

There were quite a few positives tonight considering our situation.

But by far the most important one is that we physically dominated them for the majority of the last three quarters.

I mean, we ■■■■■■■ flogged them.

Sure, there were moments where certain players appeared to hold back or not go in, but seriously, we more than held our own physically, and gave more than we got.

I loved seeing Clarke do good work at the opposite end of the ground this week. Loved seeing Caddy say “Fark this” and activating NBA Jam fire mode. Loved Caldwell finally blowing off cobwebs. Loves LAV doing what LAV seems to do when the odds are against him: playing to the top of his potential. Archie Roberts is a ■■■■■■■ gun and he makes me tumescent. Kako more involved, good to see.

The negatives: Perkins is not progressing. Gresham is an expensive mistake. McGrath hit his ceiling in his junior years. Merrett has sucked balls two weeks in a row. Setterfield wouldn’t warranty a list spot for Kaniva seconds. I’m still not able to ascertain a game plan, other than THE SWARM accidentally working here and there, though that could be merely a coincidence coupled with optimism and stout.

Overall, we really didn’t suck anywhere near as much as we were entitled to.

We fought back. That’s new and welcome.

Couldn’t disagree more. They thought they had a soft kill more like and we fucken jumped them in the second and third quarter. Fat bastard.

He sounds like he may have been in business with Bomber during the “Frozen water” period.

Congrats Lav. One of the nicest blokes around.

The best we’ve looked this season has been the 2 1/2 quarters against the Pies after qtr time on Anzac Day.

The first half against Sydney.

Tonight after qtr time.

Oh and of course the Melbourne game during Gather Round.

We can mix it with the best sides but not for the duration of an entire match…just yet.

Few tactical issues around the sub IMO:

  • Wrong player was used as the sub - Tsatis needs a solid run at it. Has been tearing it up in the 2’s. Give him a chance
  • Took too long to activate the sub.
  • Should have subbed off Duz - why risk a star like him in a season like this?
  • Subbed the wrong player off. Johnson was adding far more value than Perkins and a heap of others

Dunstall reckons Caddy is only scratching the iceberg

He said he was watching the tennis

Could you imagine what we could do if we could actually hit targets and had some connection with the forward line?

Yep, was setup for him. We lost all center clearance momentum in the last. In saying that, they’re bloody good and mcglug, Ashcroft and dunkley just monstered us.

No disrespect but I think I’ll wait for a second opinion

Perkins or one of the clearly injured guys like Gresham or Durham & that sub should have been made at half time. I have to assume that there is something internally that we are not aware of because the treatment of Tsatas just makes no sense. Its the standout negative on what was an otherwise positive night.
