I acknowledge the effort but i don’t want players thinking close is enough is good enough

I believe I understand @Finding_Nino and the way he feels as a supporter. I’m very similar.

Yet sometimes your posts on here Nino seem perfectly calibrated to drive poster engagement - the yin to the Blitz yang - you’re a Blitz machine and it wouldnt be the same without you.

Well let Brad take care of that.

Reid is costing us multiple goals every week and a liability at the moment, but we have to keep playing him because we saw last year once it clicks he can be elite. I’m kind of suprised how poor he has been this year actually, I was expecting him to be back to his good patch of last year’s form by now.

If Caldwell kicks either of those two goals late, we’re within a kick with a minute to play. That’s a gigantic step up from rounds 1 and 2 in particular. To say nothing of what happened on that ground 6 months ago.

And I don’t mind the errors from the kids that probably also cost us a win. It comes with the territory.

Still conceding too many rapid , consecutive goals. Collective defensive effectiveness is still lacking.

Strangely, in a weird way, one of the best things I saw was Scotts “what’s that ■■■■!!!?” anger after ADW’s turnover kick to the outnumber. Passion and expectation ? Farking finally. It’s a young team, they’ll feed off a coach that gives a toss.

I picked up on the WTF lip Reading too and was happy with it. Makes you feel like the coach is on the same wavelength as the supporters.

I hope Nino didn’t read this post.

Brad seemed a bit prickly at his presser like he knew that was one that got away

We did everything right for about 90% of the game

How many did he actually get kicked on him? There were a few moments where he was in no-man’s land and that lead to someone else goaling but I don’t think he copped that many

The defensive matchups and rotations were dogshit (I believe that’s the technical term) after Ridley went off

I don’t give a ■■■■ what Mitchell would accept.

he coaches hawthorn.

Did you watch Brad’s presser?

Having Reid, Farrow, Ridley, potentially Johnson and even Prior kicking out of our back half is such an improvement on previous years.

Yeah I did he wants us to start getting past just accepting effort

I noticed that Merrett played behind the ball in the last quarter to organise the defence , so with the likelihood that Ridley is out, along with Redman who fulfills this role, expect Merrett to spend more time behind the ball.

ha - me too. When he did that I thought: “he’s coaching like a fan.”

The importance of winning can’t be underestimated.

It always should be. Unfortunately that is the best we can perform even when efforts were AFL level

Dimma pre game made mentioned that we play with 2 modes not just one

Today was a bit different to how we played last week commentators picked up on it during the game seem to be adapting to what the oppo throws at us

Great signs from a coaching pov

Going toe to toe in the Gold Coast (and 1-1) in two games on their home deck - when they have a negligible injury list - is probably the best collective performance from our AFL and VFL teams for some time.
