Riverina TOTC selected

Couldn’t see if this was posted but here is the the Riverina TOTC as selected:

B: Anthony Daniher, Bernard Toohey, Jack Hawkins
HB: Neale Daniher, Dennis Carroll, Leo Barry
C: David Murphy, Paul Kelly, Adam Schneider
HF: Terry Daniher, Wayne Carey (captain), Cameron Mooney
F: Luke Bruest, John Longmire, Bill Mohr
R: Brian Gleeson, Ricky Quade, Shane Crawford
Int: Frank Gumbleton, Percy Bushby, Bill Brownless, Tom Hawkins, Greg Smith, Geoff Kingston
Emerg: Tom Carroll, Bill Brown, Isaac Smith

Coach: Allan Jeans

2 dual premiership captains, at least 1 Brownlow Medallist and some interesting selections.

Plenty of key forward options.

Gumbleton is a bit stiff not to get FB ahead of Toohey.

1975 and 1977 North Premiership back pocket, compared to no premierships for Toohey.

I would have picked Isaac Smith ahead of Cameron Mooney on that half-forward flank, given the current forward line is ultra tall.

Quade really should be in defence and have the Rev as the ruck-rover.

That’s 5 key defenders in the backline, and 5 key forwards in the forward line, plus at least 4 talls on interchange. I don’t recall Geoff Kingston. I do remember a Bob Kingston who was a South Melbourne ruckman.

You wouldn’t want to run out with that team as it is.

Kade Klemke unlucky.

Where’s Peter Box?

Sucks to be Chris Daniher

CD needs to captain and coach a few more premierships to be taken seriously. Also needs more Best & Fairests from Ungarie and Northern Riverina Football League.

Isaac Smith will end up a better player than Schneider.
