Rnd15 Port Melb vs Essendon VFL 06Jul24

Playing tomorrow (Saturday) at 2:05pm in Port Melbourne. A little annoying I have to work as I really enjoy watching footy there, easy to get too, and all our non-injured players can play.

With Bryan, Setterfield, Hobbs, Tsatas and Hately we should do well in the midfield. Need Jedwab to keep playing well up forward.

Smallest (named) half foward line I’ve seen for a while.

Its a good lineup.
And a Wanganeen in a BP … now we’re talking :slightly_smiling_face:.
Hoping Tex has another good game

Hopefully the Davey boys get more involved this week.

Any chance Hind can play given how little minutes he had last night? Is that allowed?

It is but he wasn’t named

With Hepp and Goldy essentially being dropped but not playing 2’s (“managed”) and Weid suspension, it’s 8 listed players unavailable despite just 5 on the injury list currently.

Edit: Plus Hind too I suppose.

That’s pretty good for this time of year.

Goldstein hasn’t played VFL this year has he?

No, Scott said it’s either AFL or not at all.

Am excited about this afternoon’s game. Port have had 5 wins this season and we have had 4. Not sure how strong Port’s named side is, but ours looks pretty good. Shapes up as a tight contest. We have 11 AFL listed players and many of them are in good form.

Pity. Him playing VFL would give. Ryan some time to work on his forward craft. Giving Goldy only 50-60% TOG would keep him fresh, and Bryan could rotate ruck and forward.

Would be wonderful if the Daveys could kick 6 between them.

Port are one win ahead of us (from one extra game).
