Round 1 @$#% the Swans

So it’s official, we’re going to Sydney.

Of course we are. Farking AFL.

Not that it means much, but Sydney has a pretty bad round one record recently.

Since our last opening round match against them in 2006, they've won two (both vs. GWS), drawn one, and lost six.

Ergo victory guaranteed, lid off etc..

I can’t remember when was the last time that we didn’t have to travel to Sydney to play the swans.

Anybody know?

Fairly certain they have playing a home game against Essendon, very high on their fixturing request list.
But you'd also expect most interstates would

I was so excited for the 2006 season after that win  :(

15 of the last 16 years.

Gee, this thread is a bit early isn't it??

And yeah seriously not surprised with this fixture. Then rd 2 apparently against the premiers. C'mon AFL, don't be this obvious.

Statisticians (*cough* DJR *cough), when was the last time we lost a rd 1 game?

WHERE'S THE TEAM?

AFl doesn't give us much hope of winning those 2 games with our current team.
Maybe the AFL is looking after us as they think we will only have out b grade team in we would have lost the game anyhow. Give us winnable games when the A TEAM is back.
OR more like shaft them just in case they get off.

2010, to Geelong.

Was that the game where Neagle missed the goal that ruined our whole season?

Umm, this year actually.

But only coz we played them twice, which is rare.

What I meant was when was the last time we only had to play the Swans once in a season and it was in Melbourne instead.

Anyway, thanks to DJR to answering my question... 15 out of the last 16 years we've had to travel to play the Swans... how ■■■■■■ lopsided is that???

NOTE: Dockers and Crows also come to mind as clubs that we always have to play away every season

He played on.

Anyone got a stream?
