Perhaps early days but the AFL changes (e.g. 6-6-6) have made zero difference to increasing scoring.
Perfect conditions all games yet not one team has kicked a 100 points.
Football continues to be a grinding, taxing, low scoring affair and it has nothing to do with the rules despite what the AFL thinks.
In my opinion it has everything to do with the fact that every player on ground must defend, tackle and apply pressure on their opponents resulting in increased defensiveness everywhere and hence lower scores. If you don’t , you don’t get a game.
Doesn’t mean it hasn’t been enjoyable but not as enjoyable with bigger scores and star players kicking big bags of goals.
