I love this write up except the bit where you polished Windy Dill’s ■■■■.
Everyone knows that we didn’t need a backline that tall against the Hawks.
They also know that Reid desperately needs to play in his 5th year in the league.
Since we’re not dropping McKay or Ridley, we obviously go a bit taller some games.
Aren’t we trying to develop our youngsters ?
Im an advocate for ‘horses for courses’ team selection.
It doesn’t work in this instance with where we are as a side.

Never had composure and never will. He’s balls to the wall all the time. I don’t mind that running off half back through the middle of the ground but when it’s deep in defence he just runs into trouble and puts us under the pump.
You just hate Draper. He was fine

This. The most worrying. Apart from poor i50 entries and our forwards rarely getting distance on their opponent, the defence still looks too often uncompetitive and panicking. Hoped for a bit more from Prior.

We were on top in the 1st quarter until Draper went off the ball.
He beat Meek all night, and we only looked on top when he was rucking.

Redman is my biggest concern, looks a shadow of the player he did 2 years ago.
He’s a poor decision maker, especially under pressure and in critical moments

Some thoughts
Ridley did us a favour going to the pine. Was absolutely putrid before it.
Yet again Mackay plays better with Ridley out he started to take intercept marks again. Reid came.into his own
Hobbs and Tsatsas both hard done by 50 and 60 % time on ground. Were realistically both ok when they came on.
Prior and Reid were hung out to dry by so called leaders of the club, who refuse to go third man up .
Reid needs to make quicker decisions it will come stick with him.
The backline looked better with Hayes in it.
Can’t have shiel and McGrath in the same backline, both putrid decision makers .
Caldwell is a beast
Perkins obviously had a role to play on Sicily but geez he goes missing.
Jones played well presented all night .

THE BAD
McGrath - you can’t he a VC and be as soft as melted ice cream
We get smashed by sheep dog sides who like to cheat and get out the back door.
The Backline in general, either mids and wings aren’t running hard enough or there isn’t enough communication. Not enough third man up too many players watching the contest.
Umpires - I normally don’t carry on bout them but Jesus Christ they murdered us . Where they paid the frees to hawthorn and lack of consistency was deplorable
