What is wrong with playing Tippa into form through the VFL?

You may well be on the money

He loses interest and retires like last year?

In the VFL Tippa has to go find his own ball and it is delivered poorly too him, and likely run off by VFL defenders too.

Personally I think sub spot is perfect as he builds his fitness. Keeps him hungry, starts off a new games streak. can impact the game in a short amount of time.

I have Davey in my round 1 side. Just imagine no injuries, sub a tiring Davey off at 3qtr time and bring on Walla for the last quarter.

Having cracked the ■■■■■ on Friday i don’t care anymore if we show up or not.

If we roll over it gives Scott the licence to be brutal with the list and any disco opponents in the board all the ammunition they need.

We can then treat the year like 2016 to secure the best picks possible and even hope for an FA windfall.

Who am I kidding, An inconsistent flakey performance where we fall over the line will drive me nuts.

The one thing I want more than anything else this year is to see a team that consistently commits fully to the contest when the ball is there to be won

VFL is the way to go until he builds up to match fitness👍

It’s in his contract. AFL games only

The club must be well and truly screwed if they’ve broken @ivan when the season hasn’t even started.

I’m not proud of my reaction on Friday but I was absolutely filthy with the second quarter effort around the ball

I only got to watch the 1st quarter and then had to go to work. I haven’t sat through the rest for obvious reasons.

Ticket sales very slow. If you’re game, great seats available on the ground level section at the Ponsford Stand end, or 1/3 way back top level Warne Stand. I hope Essendon people are going to go to round 1 if nothing else!

In January, Bomberblitz had me all excited about how we were going to go in 2023, so I am grateful for the last 2 practice games for the reality check.

The reason I got excited in January was because we have a good young list. But the practice matches reminded me that it is going to take some time for them to develop, so we need to be patient.

My head says that it is ok to finish bottom 4 this year, so long as we play the kids (provided they earn their spot) and they put in 100% every week.

Still, I will be gutted if the Hawks beat us. My heart says, if we can beat the Hawks, we will get momentum and then who knows what can happen in 2023.

Well it’s certainly young

If he loses interest because he’s playing int he vfl then he doesn’t deserve a spot.

That is some bite you took DP. Like most things on BB things are said in jest and you can call it a coping mechanism if you like. In any case, no matter what is said on BB it will not change the fact of what will happen on the field, it will be what it will. As per previous years these practice matches are not always a true indication of what will happen during the real season…even though you may want to back it up with statistics it is still not the real deal.

You’d hope hawthorns young midfield plays our midfield into form.
