If he is to make it in the seniors it would have to be at the expense of Stewart, Daniher or Hooker.
I think long term he can be a mid but his preparations are always being interrupted so he’s struggling to cross that hump where he has the continuity, fitness and confidence behind him to transition from a forward to a guy who can play genuine on-ball minutes at AFL level.

Regarding Lang’s positioning at stoppages, he was rarely the guy who would position himself at the foot of the ruckman but would be a few meters off the stoppage. He would engage his opponent push off and hope for the spill of the ball. He played a bit of wing that quarter too.
