This week feels like the calm before the storm. July will be make or break for our season.
If carlton could lose and we could win that would do me.

Gorth could actually roll Melbourne. They play like they did for most of last week and they’ll beat them.

The first time they met was a really good contest. Geelong won because they were more clinical going forward.
I don’t think either team walks it in this time around. Reckon it’ll be decided by < 2 goals.

I agree with that. I did see that LDU is a potential out for North, which would be a blow.
Hope you’re right, but I think FC have gone forward and Geelong have gone backwards since they last played.

Who do we want to win out of the Port vs Brisbane game??
Blues have lost 3 out of last 4 games against cats, there would still be plenty of mental issues like we have against them.
I’d prefer Bris be killed off as they aren’t far from us now with that superior %.
Also, they are the only team left for us to play away.
That game is much harder to win if they’re in contention.
The counter argument is a good one though.
Gapping Port could be the diff between an Adelaide Final or MCG.
The former would be disastrous !

My view is we want home interstate finals rivals to lose at their home because usually they can bank those wins. Brisbane have lost a few at home and want that to continue.
I prefer Brisbane to win this week.
lions are coming, injury list short, the game at the end of the year won’t be easy if they are in finals contention or not.

Geelong are smokeies.
Dangerfield is such a massive out for them and is due back imminently. If not this week, next week(just our luck as we have the cats then)
They now have the shortest injury list in the afl.
No injuries = wins
So, I can predict what will happen.
Tom Hawkins will have a shocker and Weitering will towel him up again. The media will spend all week writing and talking about how it is his time to retire, etc.
He then comes out the following week against Essington and kicks 6 on Mckay.
