We'd be mad to move Winders forward, just to accommodate the return of Hibberd.
He has played well every time he has been placed in the backline this year.
That is not always the case as a forward, as it's sometimes difficult to find your way into a game when opportunities are scarce.
We need him getting the footy 25 times a game.
Exquisite skills.
Surely, Dempsey and Hibberd can rotate up the ground to facilitate this scenario.
Dempsey's certainly been drifting into the forward line more of late, and looked dangerous when that's happened. Not sure if he's been following his man down or running off. Bit hard to tell from the TV. I'd be happy to see him down there for some part of the game. His tackling would be massive in the forward line.

Regarding Demps. Definitely following a man. How good was the tackle on Guthrie in the last quarter against Geelong? He's been very accountable.
Regarding Winders- we have to keep him there. Its added a lot. I'm testing the memory banks but I remember Winders being really important off half back at stages under Knights tenure.
Given that Winda has been the loose player in 2 of his 3 stints down back, I don't see how anyone would be pushed out of the backline for him.
Yes he did a great job on the weekend playing on a man, however he is just as dangerous if not moreso when he can simply float around the backline/middle.
He is also smart enough to stay back and cover for opponents who have run up the ground, in a bit of play.
I think we've finally found a very smart, decent spare man in defence, now it's time to see how opposition teams try and stop it, instead of us being the ones exploited by it.

I'd love to see Hibberd have a crack on ball.
Winders also played in defence under Sheedy, unsure how often.
My opinion, fwiw - Licka is too smart and good a ball user to leave out, and I agree that the forward line is a bit tough for him nowadays. i say leave him back. Dempsey is coming back into form, with great tackles and chases. He gives us that essential speed out the back - leave him there. Pig, on the other hand, has a lot of upside, I reckon. Would like to see him in and under, or ranging off the flank. Jerret, unfortunately, may be the one in red - Zerret is too valuable with his speed and ferocity, as well as goal instinct to drop. I like Colyer in there also, especially against WB with their zippiness.
