Rebuild isn’t about playing every inexperienced player you have on your list. But Shiel should be sub and talking to the kids on the bench instead of down back.

for whatever reason, for two decades this is a club that cannot implement a zone defence to save it’s life. Our players don’t understand it, don’t work hard enough off the ball and use it as a reason for opposition players being free - it’s always the blokes downfield problem.
But it is glaring how undersized we are as a unit. This crows side is fully mature now, they’re all very solid units who are willing to run and cover the ground. They’ll stand up in tackles and feed it out to a well structured perimeter, and they - against St Kilda last week and us today - have had no real need to be reactive to decent clearance use.
