Play Winders as the sub.
Last played in 1987 - I think footy players were pretty familiar with weights even way back then LOLjust barely. Because that was generations of football evolution ago.Do you remember Robert Flower?Because Gleeson is still the size of an 11 year old girl. We won't get away with that against the likes of the Hawks. They will use that as a massive mismatch in my opinion.
Line in the sand
We will win. Looking forward to a cracking game though.
We have the midfield to match them now. Our defence is very very good.
Only doubt is can we kick enough goals but had same doubt leading into rd1. If Gibson is out together with Lake certainly helps JD and Carlisle.
Team should go in unchanged but Winders would have to be the only one who is a maybe. I’d rather see him get through a whole game at VFL level first, but then again if he has done enough work on track and they think hammy sound then in he comes just as Hibbo did. Gleeson might be the unlucky one with Hardy taking his HBF spot just for the bigger body.
And Dempsey back rd3 for Freo. Melk back rd4. Belly back rd5. And Kommer at some point. Lid off.
We’re due for a win against these blokes. I’ve got a good feeling.
Why did everyone hate Hardingham's game so much? Yes he made some clangers by foot but he kicked 2 goals at crucial stages of the game and curbed Thomas when sent back late.
I'd play Dempsey or Winders as the sub for Z.Merrret as the out if either are fit.
We better ■■■■■■ win, im coming over and ill probably be only able to get to 5 or 6 games over there this year so hoping for a good one
Agree. Doubt it'll be Dempsey though, he only played 3 quarters in the VFL and would be at least 1-2 more weeks away IMO. Hopefully Winders gets up for this one.Why did everyone hate Hardingham's game so much? Kill them.
I suppose another factor in these “line in the sand” games is that there may be a body count and durability probably should be a bigger than usual factor.

We thought last year's match was a "line in the sand game".........boy was that a disappointment.
Hill for the Hawks, skinny as, debuted last year and handled himself very wellBecause Gleeson is still the size of an 11 year old girl. We won't get away with that against the likes of the Hawks. They will use that as a massive mismatch in my opinion.
Wanganeen was never what you would call big at any stage of his career. l used to fear for his physical safety right up until the day he retired. l thought the likes of a rampaging Lockett would actually put him in hospital and yet he survived, flourished and went alright.

because his good is pretty good, but his bad is very bad. He ends up negating any good he does by the bad he does.
That being said at the end of the day he prolly ended up in front on friday night, but in a game where turnovers are so crucial you can't rely on someone who is so hit and miss.
you could argue his mistakes in the first were helpful to the momentum shift late in the first qtr. yes redeemed himself with a couple of goals and his shutting down of thomas later in the game.
I just don't think long term you can carry a guy who's disposal leads to so many turnover goals as hardy does.

Not as big a disappointment as the original line in the sand game was to them.
Dempsey one more week in the twos then bring him back for the following week v kantong
winders in for gleeson or zerrett
At least Watson is playing this time and that was also a pretty tumultuous week in a tumultuous year (it was the week Evan's had to stand aside for health reasons, so the stress was at one of its highest points). We thought last year's match was a "line in the sand game".........boy was that a disappointment.I suppose another factor in these "line in the sand" games is that there may be a body count and durability probably should be a bigger than usual factor.

Straight to the point. Crisp.
i have absolutely no idea what to think about this game, but i'm excited by it nonetheless.
Out: Merrett
