Round 2 - Post match

Hawks are so good by foot it’s unbelievable but to get back in the game minus a ruckman is a fantastic effort. Demps Winders Bellcho back would make a huge difference. Of course so would their outs however those who played showed balls big balls. That is all I wanted to see at half time I was thinking oh no but to keep them goalless for 50mins is no small feat! Go bombers n fark Carlton next week

Add winderlich, Dempsey and bellchamber.

We’ll be fine.

Stanton was poor tonight

25 touches and 8 marks, went at 80 efficiency, 7 tackles and 3 inside 50s.

Seriously?

That was all part of the learning process. We will be better for it.

People have been talking about the calibre of missing players and hodge going down…

…we were missing the same…

Ryder went down and from there Hale was the better ruck. In terms of players to come back, Bellchambers, Melksham, Kommer, Licka, & Dempsey. These are just as important for our structure as the missing hawks. The last 2 will add some leg speed and Kommer some forward pressure.

Good thing is we have a good list and players have to perform to keep their spot.

Chappy would be filthy (like others) but more so because he would have been use to Geelong holding on to win after he kicked that last goal.

Hocking was awesome tonight

booooooooooo

We really have put numbers in the back lol. Oh well, Carlton is farked.

really proud of the boys

absolutely gutted to let it slip at the end but seriously, it was looking like it was going to be another 60pt flogging at half time.

Also Heppell's first instinct of moving the ball backwards is really starting to sht me.

This. I see a player who is starting to take a look at his own stat sheet. Didn't really put his head over it tonight. Looked very timid.

Melksham was our biggest out I reckon. He would have relished that final quarter

Yeah but he tried to do too much a couple of times and it didn't come off.

Forget the fact that Rioli did the same thing, like, 10 times.

where is melksham?

Yes he did. Being soft and moving the ball backwards when not necessary are two different things.

Difference being some of the Hawks players missing and went down are 2 time premiership players.

Yes the players we were missing are important to our team and structure, but so are there's in a better side.

Myers has become a beast midfielder, clearance machine. I thought this should have happened three years ago, but has happened now. His out on the full aside, he is a a grade midfielder without the press this year.

Hardingham's kicking will put him out of the side, as good as his goals were, his kicking or decision making when he kicks is so poor it kills the Team.

Howlett looks lost, first out for Melksham for mine.

Not saying they are. Just an observation. He did more of the hard stuff last week. I stand by what I said.. He looked timid.

Happy with the boys considering the long bomb crap they were doing for 1/2 the game. They'll learn and be better for it, I think the Howlett and hardy need to lift otherwise drop them

You're kidding aren't you...Howlett played very well last week and was serviceable tonight whilst Hardingham was our only effective forward in the first half.
I think they're safe for a few weeks

where is melksham?

Suspended. Back to destroy Carlton next week

where is melksham?

Suspended.
