Round 20 - Hawthorn vs Essendon @ MCG (1:45pm 4/8) - Looking ahead

Now that Francis is in, there really isn’t much to look forward too with the team announcement. Very quite in here.

Supposedly last weekend left a lot of players a bit sore. Crowe was stressing recovery as the main thing this week.
So it’s a toss up between waiting with bated breath to see if anyone doesn’t come up, and exercising the keyboard fingers for an explosion of outrage if player X is “rested”.

I’ve come up with a perfect description for a game like this: “mini final”.

Carlisle must have disclosed Essendon’s IP on goal kicking technique.

It always good to see an unchanged lineup.

McNeice gets some kudos from Woosh. If they decide Dea hasn’t done enough to come up from concussion the likely in it seems.

I guess that means that Dea and Langford have got up which is good.

Just one more box to tick.

So happy we go in unchanged. Fantastic team performance last Friday. The mix is just about right, we might be one down in terms of talls in attack. Stringer looks like he will be on 2nd ruck duties again. Hawks with no McEvoy and just Ceglar, not sure who is doing the back-up work there. We were in putrid form when we played them earlier in the season. This time it’s different, and I expect the result to be as well.
