Chris Scott said it last year just have the season shut down for a week at the midway point.
The whole opening round thing was only invented as a way of still keeping the FC and Richmond “blockbuster”. Having a normal opening round with 9 games and home games in QLD and NSW makes sense. But it also makes sense to schedule one of those QLD/NSW games on Thursday night. Which means FC/Richmond would get shunted to Saturday or Sunday afternoon.
