2MP is slow and a dud.

Only main stadium we haven’t been to. All things being equal (eg Covid) we’ll be there. Regardless.

drive up

Stay at Dubbo (near-exact half-way mark between Melbourne and Brisbane). Spend a day at the zoo.

Pro
McGrath vs Neale matchup
We have good QLD following so should be plenty of dons fans there
weather should be great

Pro: Booing Daniher
Cons: you’ll probably get stuck in Queensland in a Covid infected quarantine hotel.

We went to Gabba in 18 ( Bombers won too… ). Really liked the feel, the vibe of the place.

Test match cricket would be something else there.

Good bus service between the city & ground too.

We are doing the Adelaide Oval for the Port game in Rnd 2 for the 1st time, other than the Port fans, it should be great experience.

Pros:
Apart from the Members stand the majority of the ground will be red and black.
Pineapple Hotel before the game
Story Bridge after
Tropical shirts appropriate
We generally play well at the Gabba

Cons:
XXXX Gold
Anastasia may not let you in
Daniher will kick straighter than ever before

Pros:

You’ll get to see a match winning performance from Lachie Neale.

Cons:

You’ll get to see a match winning performance from Lachie Neale.

could be a pro depending on your taste buds.
Id probably prefer it over Carlton

Last season 4 pines pacific ale was on tap - a significant upgrade on both

The problem with 4 Pines pacific ale is its a mid strength beer owned by CUB but priced as a full strength craft beer.

Gabba is a bit past her prime but I enjoy watching footy there. I always find there is a pretty good turnout of Essendon fans there, and by the off chance we are in front at some stage we can actually drown out the Bears fans.

I totally recommend heading to the Morrison Hotel in Woolloongabba well before the game for one of the best steaks you’ve ever had. Your trip will be worth it even if we get smashed.

Brissy is a great city and easy to get to the Sunny Coast or Gold Coast if you want to make a holiday out of it.
