I’m one of those loser supporters who holds on to the faintest glimmer of hope. I thought if we clicked we could.

I’m pretty good at picking Essington. Remember the game we lost in the rain to them last year? Yeah I had good money on Carlton 1-39 that day…easy win.

It has all the makings of an Essington classic, I’m just not sure if we go in having beaten Hawthorn yet.

The more bothersome issue here is the white shorts. There would be far less of a clash if Carlton wore dark shorts, instead of a colour that is on the oppositions jumper.

But no, because Carlton are the away side, common sense is disregarded.
