He’d be a good choice.
He’s used to predominantly playing VFL level. He’s more of a forward ruck, than a number 1 ruck.
Can play seniors when needed.
Wouldn’t be overly demanding of a greater chance at getting senior experience.
Otherwise, just get a rookie listed ruckman to develop and hope there’s no injuries to Draper or Bryan.
If we could have any sort of reassurance that his body isn’t completely cooked then I would absolutely be interested in him.
You’d be getting him at his absolute base value given the last few years.
He’s dumb as dog sh¡t but the thing I like about him is that he’s a complete and utter carnt which we absolutely need more of at the club. It’s a bit of a roll of the dice given his poor availability record but at low cost I’d roll that dice.

I’d be staying at Saints if I was him, if Marshall gets injured he’s in.
Going to be a tough sell to get someone capable to move happy to be #3. Probably a delisted free agent scenario. Naismith another as SSP perhaps but you’d think other clubs might seem like a better opportunity for him, and he knows he has been capable of holding down #1 before

We have two good rucks, I’m looking for a state league mature ruck at the back end of the draft/rookie, somebody who can playa. Role in a pinch and if the perform and have currency trade them out for an upgrade.
Would we consider chol from tje suns.
Would offer depth in a number of positions and we may get a drsft pick coming with him if its a suns salary dump?

I’m curious what type of offers we’d get for Draper.
I’m far from convinced 2 genuine ruckman with little forward craft can actually work.

Seems some contending teams want a mature ruckman, Swans, Cats and Port perhaps we’d get a good offer, great even.

Well considering he hasn’t recovered yet from his "OP’ based on not playing in the last round, there has to be doubts on whether he will be fully over it by next year. If that’s the case Goldy would be a great recruit

If we were doing a “full” rebuild, Draper would be one of the pieces I’d test the waters to see his value on. If we were paying a chunk of his salary, it would be interesting what he’s worth.

I’m curious as well, the part of the industry I hate is, as soon as you’re seen as testing the waters/consider trading your player it’s seen as such a negative, the media make it out like you’ve wronged said player and it tanks their value.
Need to mature in this space.
Saints were offering a million before he played BUT we better get a superstar if we let him go. I believe Bryan will deliver as #1 ruck. But still. Who is that superstar? Preuss as 2nd ruck in the meantime.
