Can the operator be located? I read somewhere that Thales has a drone surveillance system that can locate the pilot ( being trialled at an airport here).

Vibe of what’s happening around Zaporizhia over the past 24hrs. There’s likely more activity on the ground that is being kept quiet.

Fuel depot at Brilevka would have been supplying Kherson.

Like all other normal humans, I farking hate war.

I have really enjoyed, however, the vision of Russian ammo depots blowing up.

Russia seems to be doing a redeployment of forces over the past week. There’s been video footage of Russian convoys pulling out and moving south. This has allowed Ukraine to retake some territory around Izyum. Much of the Russian VDV units are being sent south, with some focus of forces around Bakhmut. It really looks like Russia has shifted largely to the defense, pulling attacking forces off the line to try and hold the south.

There’s very little info being shared online about Ukrainian attacks, but the vibe is stuff is happening along the blue ?? lines.

Russia now has a predicament. If they push forces over the river, they increase the amount of supply needed. If Ukraine push at Zaporizhia, the forces over the river can’t get back to assist. If Russia doesn’t provide extra support into Kherson, they’ll inevitably lose the territory. Ukraine can watch and push where Russia doesn’t focus. They can also feint attacks to pull Russian forces away from the true target.

Retribution is vowed

“If some of the Russian killers hope that they will not be brought to justice, that they will hide somewhere, let them know - they will answer in any case. Geography, time, borders, walls will not stop a just retribution.”

Do any of you guys know anyone at the club who has charity experience? Is there any way we can research how to set up a crowdfunding campaign to send something to the Ukrainian military? We know that other countries have crowdfunded Bayraktars. I want to send guns. Or medical supplies. Maybe this forum through Essendon Football club can raise some money. I am not a member of the club but I am willing to contribute cash and do fundraising.

Probably pretty doubtful the club would/could get involved with anything around lethal assistance.

So bombers are out. (Sorry, I had to do it) What about send Ukraine some civilian drones? If anyone has any ideas, let me know. I’m keen to do sth., I’ll start researching some crowdfunding options.

I’m pretty certain that @Benny40 has posted (in this thread) about some existing donation options previously. Unfortunately… he’s been such a posting legend in here, there’s a fair bit to go through.

If the media reckon our bomber logo is too aggressive, just wait til they find out we’re funding a Bayraktar TB2 drone for the Ukrainians.

The media thinks your logo is too aggressive? Wow, I never heard of that before. How stupid is our media here then? I suppose a Tiger is just cute and fluffly…
Anyway, I suppose a Bayraktar would be an easier sell than guns.

@Taojas These three have got some strong connections on the ground in Ukraine.

This is the Ukrainian government donation page, which is likely to be a bit more bureaucratic.

There’s also things like the Red Cross and other organisations. I haven’t seen good reports of the big charities actually getting around to doing work on the ground. I’ve personally donated to Mriya Aid.

Thanks for the links Benny. I would prefer to send some direct lethal aid but I guess the red tape/legalities would be a nightmare. I think I will donate directly to the UAF through United24/ the National Bank of Ukraine then.

I would if I could. I will have to do some research… (Remainder deleted - Saladin).

I haven’t seen much in the way of lethal aid support, other than the Bayraktar fundraisers.

The charities above are delivering things like body armour, explosive handling gear, commercial grade drones, field med kits and tourniquets. All critical gear for front line infantry.

From what I’ve seen guns are plentiful, the rest of the gear isn’t. Unless you know of a stock of Soviet artillery shells.
