Russian channel DONTSTOPWAR reports that a 50km long Wagner-column has crossed the Novoshakhtinskaya border checkpoint into Russia reportedly heading for Novocherkassk (towards Rostov-on-Don). no matter what happens tonight russia is going to lose about 25,000 combat troops… and thats just the start.
if wagner just lays down its guns thats about 25000 troops that can not be trusted…
if they fight most of wagner is better than the standard russian troop. this could be 50K easy.
And don’t forget the ability to use Rostov on the Don as a logistics hub going into Ukraine. That is the logistics hub for RuAF in Donbas and southern Ukraine.
It wouldn’t be a bad thing if Ukr / NATO could destroy that Wagner column. This is going pear-shaped extremely quickly, and unlike the withdrawal from WW1 and the revolution, it probably won’t result in only internal machinations.
What price democracy when the revolt against Putin is led by the Wagner Chief. Who would want to be associated with Wagner in bringing down Putin. Has Wagner moved on from wanting to supplant Putin’s senior command or to curbing Putin’s power , to actually removing him?
