The fact you are so outaged by his reaction just shows you cannot empathise with his position
He has very few if any redeeming qualities.
He wants to end the war. Probably to boost his ego. Profit from it as well probably.
Zelensky has to know this. If he doesnât trust him, donât involve him. Donât go to sign an agreement you are not happy with. Donât waste everyoneâs time.
Obviously he thinks Trump would be useful in some way to meet his people and to travel to the US to meet Trump.
The fact that you cannot see that Zelensky didnât handle this appropriately and worsened his countries position is the point.
We all know trump is a â â â â . He should have as well and acted differently.
Iâm not outraged by it. Disappointed that the war will continue and more innocents will die.
Explaining his reaction and understanding it are two different things. But anyway, youâre entitled to whatever opinion you have / have taken from somewhere
Sleep well dude
What is Ukraineâs best path to a ceasefire or peace in the short to medium term?
If you say anything apart from involving Trump to get Putin to the negotiating table you are delusional because we have seen that nothing else has worked.
Anything Zelensky does that goes against getting Trumps help is hurting his people.
How anyone can argue against what Iâm saying is beyond me.
At the end of the day a deal might not be possible with Putin or a deal is not accepted to Ukraine. If that happens, it happens. It should go part of the way to a future deal.
make a deal with the devil
make a deal with the devil
To make an agreement, bargain, deal, or exchange with a powerful but ultimately malevolent force in which a person sacrifices or abandons moral, ethical, or spiritual values in favor of wealth, power, or other benefits.
The legend of Faust, who sold his soul to the devil for unlimited knowledge and power, might be the best-known example of someone making a deal with the devil.
I fear we might have made a deal with the devil when we became so dependent on technology, having traded in every speck of our private lives for convenience and flashy gadgets.
She gained massive political influence by making a deal with the devilâin this case, powerful corporate lobbyists that demanded preferential treatment from Congress.

Joe, youâve gone from champion of Elon, disappointed by his âpivotâ into politics but still deeply enamoured of his vision and world saving investments, to ârealpolitikâ pragmatist Trump appeaser. You seem studious in your efforts to not mention Putin and Russia. Or Project25 and how itâs working beneath the Trump circus. Why arenât you interested in those little details?

Thatâs if a Trump ever intended to give Z anything apart from a â â â â sandwich. Sounds to me like Trump got what he wanted.
Vance was there to ensure the pathetic little endgame played out appropriately. If it was just Trump it couldâve gone anywhere, including making concessions to security guarantees - that he would later claim not to have made.
I hadnât seen any Rubio images, wow he looks sick. Marco, youâre all in darling.
And yet clearly the help on offer is insufficient. No security guarantees is a biggy. âWeâll take your resources as a repayment for past support, but donât expect a real commitment to any in the futureâ.
Obviously the rest of the world, for the most part disagrees with your line of thinking. Strike, even the Ukrainian people appear to disagree with you.
Zelensky wouldnât sign in Kyiv without a security guarantee. He wouldnât sign in Munich without a security guarantee.
He came to Washington ready to sign. Despite Bessentâs protestation that he was never offered a security guarantee, it is apparent that he came to Washington with an expectation that some guarantee was on offer.
However, in talks preceding the presser, Bessent and Rubio were unable to deliver on what they had held out to him.
So, the cover up was to make Zelensky look bad at the presser, his arrogance and disrespect to Trump, trashing Putin when overtures were needed to get him to negotiate.
Vance on cue deflecting from the substance of what Zelensky thought was a conversation, with not saying thank you at the presser ( when he had previously laid on the thank youâs with a trowel) .
The sign was there that his dress would be raised as a form of disrespect , when Trump met him at the door , cynically saying to him that he had frocked up for the occasion. .
Where Zelensky failed was that he didnât read the room and took the bait at the presser. It was a total set up.
