Good morning my fellow Blitzers.

Reporting for duty.

No way… Well I’ll be buggered.

UN probe finds new Russian crimes against humanity in Ukraine

…”“For over one year, Russian armed forces have been directing drone attacks against an extensive range of civilian targets,” the report said, including people, houses or buildings, humanitarian distribution points, and critical energy infrastructure,” the new report said.

The commission highlighted that the attacks had “compelled thousands to flee”.

Operating under a centralised command, Russian troops “intentionally target civilians and civilian objects and cause harm and destruction”, it said.

“They even hit first responders,” the commission said, including ambulance crews and firefighters, sometimes repeatedly, despite clear markings on vehicles.

The Pokrovsk offensive.

18 July 2024 – present
(1 year, 3 months, 1 week and 2 days)

On 27 August 2024, Syrskyi claimed that, on average, his soldiers “neutralize” 300 Russian soldiers every day in the Pokrovsk direction.

On 5 January 2025, the ISW reported that a Ukrainian intelligence officer operating in the Pokrovsk direction claimed that Russian forces are suffering up to 400 personnel casualties per day

Gee… The cost of doing business nowadays.

Top of the morning everyone.

This is a recurring example of Putin’s smoke and mirrors technique. Bigly ANNOUNCE a new wunderwaffe that will probably never see operational deployment. Just to put the general ■■■■■ up fearful US and European populations who are none the wiser to the reality but just see the headlines saying NUCLEAR.

The impracticality of this type of weapon system is laid out in this paper.

Trump, also, likes to make bigly ANNOUNCE bluffs.

Karaganov is right that it was futile to think that trump would act against US interests. Further, trump doesn’t act for US interests either.
Have the russians not realised that trump only acts for trump’s interests?

Let this be a lesson to the pest of you.

Oh dear… Does this mean NATO troops can now also fight in Ukraine?

North Korean Troops Are Now Fighting Inside Ukraine

Direct involvement in the fighting inside Ukraine marks an important escalation in the conflict.”

It’s not just North Koreans.

Look. He’s just having a bad four year period, okay. His 3-day war didn’t quite work out, but according to him, there’s no real harm done.

I feel sure that there’s a bright light at the end of the tunnel, specifically aimed at him.

It’s just part of that bad four year period he’s undergoing right now. But, but, I have it on good Orange authority that he still has cards to play.

It’s a particularly difficult four year period that he’s experiencing, I agree. But on the plus side, he has a nice singing voice and a beautiful horse that he rode in on.

Wood you believe it?

Now, what could cause the possibility of peace talks you’d have to wonder.

Playing dumb? Seriously? Playing?

Lavrov playing dumb with claims Russia open to Trump’s Ukraine peace plan — analyst

Well, this is a roundabout way of calling out “Bull$hit”.

“Imitation of peaceful intentions”: the National Security and Defense Council assessed Lavrov’s statement about Putin’s readiness to end the war based on the US concept

“The statement by Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov about Putin’s readiness to accept the US concept for Ukraine is a manipulation. The Center for Countering Disinformation of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine states that Moscow is imitating peaceful intentions without practical actions.”…

Speaking of bull$hit…

Say what?

EU expects China to help end russia-Ukraine war - European Council President

“European Council President António Costa, during a meeting with Chinese Prime Minister Li Qiang, expressed the EU’s hope that China will help end the russia-Ukraine war.”…

https://ukranews.com/en/news/1113566-eu-expects-china-to-help-end-russia-ukraine-war-european-council-president

It ain’t over ‘till it’s over.

Uh huh. Four years into the well publicised, largest war in Europe since WW2 and blokes are still being tricked into fighting for Russia… Rightyo.

Financial inducement (greed) has nothing to do with it then? Just plausible deniability.

…”The Foreign Ministry said Kenya was still committed to signing a labor agreement with Russia aimed at giving Kenyans access to “genuine job opportunities in Russia.”“…

Donny, Donny, less words from the forked tongue and more action… DisPutin ain’t listening.

More about Ukraine’s proposed long-range strikes.

Same, same, except for the statement that they’re warning Russia… That’s nice.

No tanks to anyone in particular.

Bwa, ha, ha. LOL. Once a Russian tosser, always a Russian tosser.

Is it April Fools day?

Playing to Resident Orang-utan’s ego but still expecting the worst.

…”The analyst stressed that Ukraine will definitely not like the terms of this (American) coercion.

“We will definitely like the end of the war, I think for most Ukrainians it will be a serious relief. I don’t know if it will be temporary, perhaps temporary, but some psycho-emotional relief should come after this. But the conditions for this will be American conditions, imposed on both sides, as they think they can impose them. And we will definitely not like these conditions. As Trump said: ‘Both sides must cease fire, declare their victory, meaning both have won, each in their own way, and go home.’ This is almost a direct quote. In fact, this is Donald Trump’s vision for the end of this war,” added Volodymyr Horbach.”…

C’mon Elon, lift your game.

When this all finishes… Bring down the gavel. Hard.

There’s a job harder than being Essendon’s coach?

That’s dam unlucky for Russia.

Dam costly too.

Having problems ‘getting the band back together’.

I hate to be the bearer of bad news. Neither does he.

…”For the average Ukrainian, this is a bitter truth delivered via a third party, because the government and Zelenskyy himself do not want to report bad news directly. As a result, Ukrainians must search for realistic, grim assessments in interviews with foreign politicians, where, at least, they are not promised coffee in Crimea or a New Year’s victory.”…

“Don’t do it again, Vlad… You’re a bad boy, Comrade”.

Czech Mates.

Yes and no. The damage done, cutting support to Ukraine and stringing everyone along for eight months on a futile goose chase has already harmed US interests greatly. The russians were looking for a lot more from him though…

Some countries escaped the captive and debilitating yoke of the USSR, only to become Stockholm Syndrome vassals.

The EU and NATO are too much of a reward for these Russian kowtowing backstabbing farkers.

I dunno… I find myself half hoping that Russia lobs a missile at Brussels.

Now we’re talking plane Turkey.

Preparing a frosty response.

Morning

Impacts: Russian positions dug into low-lying ground south and southeast of Vovchansk were waterlogged, forcing Storm-Z and mobilized infantry to pull back to higher terrain near Tykhe and Ohirtseve.

Flooding made crossings impassable for Z-mules, motorcycles, and quad vehicles supplying forward positions across the Vovcha River corridor, especially toward Pletenivka and Hatyshche.

As if on cue, Moscow and its surrogates are labeling the strike as terrorism while continuing to bomb Ukrainian cities and infrastructure every day. And let’s not forget the Kakhovka Dam.
