The air base was attacked on the night of August 15, 2026, by operators of the CODE 9.2 475th Assault Regiment. The strike by the Ukrainian Armed Forces was confirmed by the President and the General Staff.
The Savasleyka air base is a Russian military air base in the Nizhny Novgorod region. It is home to various modifications of the MiG-31 fighter jet, including the MiG-31K, a carrier of the Kh-47M2 Kinzhal ballistic missiles.

I can never get my head around why you would advertise this kind of stuff, just build them,’stay under the radar’ so to speak, then use them with great effect out of nowhere. Is it advertised just to induce fear in the enemy?
