Kiev is the Russian version. Kyiv is the Ukrainian, and now common and correct pronunciation.

Whilst I agree, now is the time to strike…
It does come with a major risk to it.
Russia, UK and USA could all lose out and then you have China and North Korea both rubbing their hands together wondering if they can fill the void.

My opinion for what it’s worth.
If the rest of the world wanted to cripple Russia financially through sanctions, they could do it easily - but sanctions are a two way street and money talks.
My perception of the greed displayed by investors, big business, multinationals and in particular the banking industry. Nah, won’t happen - not to the santion crippling extent possible.
