Absolutely Essendon are great DT always make me laugh

Yer, they’re pretty good.

The host Rob says “like” too much.
It’s a bad habit.
Yes, I realize I’m being fussy !

They should get Merv the bloke who calls Brad an AFL plant. That bloke is most negative Essendon supporter iv’e seen even Rob and the panel some times have to pull him up with some of the stuff he says haha

How is that “effort” measured? And anyone got a comparison to when it’s not questioned - contested ball differential, turnovers, kms run, spoils, tackles, contested marks, stoppages won. Presume all of those were rubbish on the weekend?!

Was continually shouting…… “don’t bomb it in” . It just doesn’t work when we have no contested marks and crumbers down there. Surely the team could see that!!

We needed to hit up and go wide - that dump to 20-30m out is a complete waste of time currently

Nope

I’m fairly measured by nature but cannot stop seething about this game.
The excitement after the GWS win was palpable and felt as if genuine change was happening. Maybe it still is but I/we/everyone are just sick of waiting and playing the 2,3, 8 years down the track game.

I genuinely believe it is a culture issue stemming from guys that have been there for too long. I’m talking guys like Heppel and draper who seem to get lackadaisical at this point in the season. I’m sure they mean the best and really do try hard but we need an injection of pace, skill and youth desperately. There is a level of Einstein insanity developing as the seasons go by and really cannot see another way without swapping out some of our core group.

As for the mouthful the players copped. My opinion,

Supporters will never fully understand what players go through on a physical level to play the game week in week out.

Players will never fully understand what supporters go on an emotional and financial level in supporting their team

AFL players exist in their own little bubble. Sometimes they need to be shown exactly what it means to the people who follow the club

so he’s not concerned about inactive horse ■■■■■?

This is the best Essendon podcast i’ve seen. Who are these blitzers? Is this you @Wanderlust

i quite like their setup, i just think its unfortunate jonnos had such a strong tie to the club previousyl that when it comes time to critically evaluate he errs to the side of pleasantry, which is fine but the clubs so dead in the water that maybe a former employee and colleague to some people there on an innocuous podcast saying the teams no good might resonate the good word to the people that be.

their shaw episodes suck, but thats reflective on all podcastdom

nino you’re meant to be older than the tiktok adhd generation

Don’t get me wrong I enjoy the sash i just prefer Absolutely Essendon. This convo will most likely get mentioned by the sash this week haha

you’ve missed the point

Tell me then oh wise one

its not about the pods, its about everything having to be quick digestive content, think years rebuilding vs a quick refresh

I didn’t see or listen to the game, and I haven’t watched any replays…yet. (I am overseas).
I can’t really comment on what’s happened to the team, as I have no idea.
However, I do feel all the angst coming through Blitz. I feel sad.
I am comforted by the simple the fact that they are a better team than last year, and maybe my expectations were way too high for this year.
