Sean Murphy - fitness muggins - well… bye

I think it’s more saying that chris scott is not the reason geelong have had an extended period of success. he’s not the messiah, but one very well performing member of an excellent organisation.

burgess won’t save us, or the next coach or next chairman. excellence needs to be built broadly across the organisation.

17 teams don’t have burgess and most teams don’t have horrific levels of injury. that’s evidence that the body of knowledge as to how to do it, is widespread.

Ok - it may not have been ‘especially’ risky but definitely a pragmatic and calculated change of direction at the helm of the club.
To suggest all of that is just another vanilla decision by the club has a touch of scorn about it.

And further to that we went crazy snapping up anyone who had anything to do with Richmond’s recent success and look how well that went.

Thanks, if he is a consideration this is a very important thing to know

With respect - I think you’ve maybe read a bit more into it than was actually there or intended in that post.

Thorburn… now that was a decidedly risky and ‘non-vanilla’ move (which obviously backfired spectacularly).

Vozzo by comparison is clearly a very safe, conservative, ‘let’s not rock the boat’ appointment.

To me, It’s hardly bold or even ‘left -field’ which is why I’m surprised this is the hill you’ve decided to plant your flag on.

Likewise Rosa isn’t the most experienced out there for his role but that doesn’t mean no experience, it just means less experienced.

But agree to disagree I guess…

From what I know via a club physio , the second oval is way too soft and any side that trains on it is pulling up sore after it. Paige scott said they same thing to me as well

Geelong are just better at rotting the salary cap and they used Dank’s secret juice before we did.

I’m sorry, but this line of thinking is tiring and factually incorrect.

An S&C Coach that “doesn’t push athletes too hard” is not a safe option. There is nothing safe about this, as this approach leads to a greater number of injuries than the opposite.

Seriously if we know it then surely the club knows it yet pretend the problem is Murphy

Is that the one that hadn’t been resurfaced but they are now going to resurface? MCG sized oval is the one mostly used by AFL and Marvel sized by the rest?

Did that football team we had bunking in with us for a while use that oval?

That’s the one.The description was it’s like quick sand under foot

That is part of the problem. Other small thing I was told was who knows if Murphy actually follows what we recommend as he knows better in a sarcastic tone

this is the main reason i’m enjoying that the limits of creativity we (blitz) have in ideas is “dude from other afl club who i have heard of”. real worldwide-search-turned-up-the-current-2ic type operation.

there’d be 100 people in the ncaa system on sht coin who could do an afl squad in their sleep

I think Andrew Russell would be an A+++++ hire and I hope we get him.

not to go all “women be gossiping”, but its hilarious how open aflw players are about sht that sucks

This is Deja vu after Justin Crow. This appointment is so crucial

How come they dont gossip to David J Richardson, he never has anything for us.

I’ve known Paige since she was a little girl, killing the boys including Kai lohmann all the way back then. Club didn’t treat her very well in the end at all hence why she wanted out.

Had a pretty hard year off field last year
