If you mean faculties then I concur!
“We are delighted to appoint Sean to the role of head of strength and conditioning, with Sean to also work closely with Dave (Rundle) in the newly created head of medical services position,” Richardson said.
“Having been involved in three premierships during his time at Hawthorn, Sean knows what a successful AFL program looks like and we’re delighted to have secured someone of his calibre.
“We also congratulate Dave Rundle on his elevation to a new position too. With this new structure, we feel the club is well resourced and positioned to continue to provide our players and teams with an environment based around care and support, ultimately giving the best possible chance of maximising their potential to ensure future success for our football programs.”
It might be cost cutting, but more likely to be making sure the medical & fitness sides actually talk to each other.
This seems to have been a weakness for the last couple of years, in terms of rehab - Joey, Stewart et al, and in terms of carrying on regardless leading to recurring problems - Smith,Heppell, Fanta.
It does put more eggs in Richardson’s basket though
Does he even lift bro?
semantics innit
He looks really short.
Are almost all of Clarkson’s staff shortarses?
Force them to stay (then fix Raz and Joe)
Not really. We were terribly unfit at the start this year. If we start off well in the fitness stakes next season then we can safely say he was a good appointment.
Happy with Rundle’s promotion. The division of duties is a no brainer after some of the team selections this year when unfit players ended up playing.
You mean
the proof of the pudding is in the eating
So how does this Dave Rundle dude fit in with Doc Reid and Doc whatsisname (Reynolds?)?
And is he new to the club?
No.
No he is not new, he has been at the club since 2015. He was the head physio reporting into Crow. Now he is head of medical reporting directly to Richardson. Assume the docs will report into him.
Have you met any Doctors. Highly doubt they would be happy report into a lowly physio.
So what the fark does Proof will be in the pudding mean ?
Seems like we took our time and found someone highly qualified. I’m also glad he’s not just the Richmond bloke that Richardson was aware of. Welcome aboard Sean and all the best.
Google it.
My understanding is that the key difference is the docs are only part time while the physios are full time.
Sounds like we need a:
