And they say its nonsense that the team is not playing for him. Well at least Breust, Rioli Smith and Gunston and maybe even the Jaeger Bomb are playing mainly for themselves.
They would need to give them a reason. We aren’t seeing good players go to mediocre clubs. They are suddenly very mediocre.
Mitchell is getting a lot of the ball, trouble is, he is the turnover king of the AFL at this point.
Clearly they see him as ready to go, spent two good draft picks and lots of money and rushed him back from his minor injury pre-season.
Truth is, even if he plays 100 games for them, he’s lost a step. Brings anyone back to the pack. Could well be decent but won’t end up being half the player he looked like becoming in his first few years.

Add to that they don’t have a 1st or second round pick this year and they’ll need a full rebuild in 2018 and 2019. They would have been better off trading out Bruest as well to at least get one 1st round pick back in this season.
Plus as they get ■■■■■■■, their players trade value will lessen. I had wished the decline would be a bit slower, but I’ll settle for this.
