I get that Cameron was traded (genuinely) on compassionate grounds, but imagine losing him, Betts one season later, and discovering that Milera ain’t all that.
Was ordinary.
But always had the tank and knew where the footy was.
His last two seasons have been the best ‘footy’ of his career and it does not surprise me at all that Adelaide can’t see that.
Can kick a clutch goal (or two) and is absolutely an upgrade on several of our players.
Plenty.
Despite him copping grief he was still statistically very good this year despite playing with multiple injuries. Mentally cooked so stepping down from Captaincy should help him just concentrate on footy. Maybe a change of club would be good for him
That was the end of the era, 2017 was meant to be Crows beginning. Massive difference.
Again though, that was at the end of some of their period, they won the 2004 GF.
This is the Crows building a list and getting to a point that they looked unbeatable. Then they lost to Richmond, had that camp and it all fell apart really quickly. Very surprising.
I remember in 2017 during Grand Final week I was watching either AFL 360 or On The Couch (I was bored) and they had Jenkins on from his home in Adelaide. They asked him a question about Dangerfield leaving and becoming a Brownlow medalist and he said something along the lines of “well if he had stayed here with us he would be a Brownlow medalist as well as a Premiership player” it was cringe worthy and they have fallen off a cliff…I wonder if it was that “certainty” attitude that was then blown up by Richmond that has caused the clubs unraveling?
I wouldn’t think so. As someone who has been out and about for the better part of the last 20 years.l, I don’t see many footy players around. If I ever do I don’t see big crowds of people around them either.
The news comments on both the teams a lot, but no more than I’ve heard here in Melbourne with the vic teams.
