Never. It’s too good for ratings. People watch footy matches when they barrack for neither team because they have a multi on it.
The AFL will cover up betting scandals at all costs until they hit a tipping point because they’re trying to protect “betting integrity”. So they wont throw a club under the bus for it unless they absolutely have to.
If they make it apparent that there’s match fixing/bet fixing going on the the gambling integrity is damaged and people might lose interest. They’re not protecting the clubs, they’re protecting their own interests.
Don’t care if Pies get kicked out, we will win the next two and guarantee a finals spot anyway. Them leaving would just mean we get a home final as we get bumped up a spot.
There are a lot of people quick to jump off here. Last week the whole club was sick, we had structurally important players as late outs and we played a good side in need of a win.
If its true, there would be many many in the AFL industry who have heard it. But rumors need to be substantiated with proof. Of course any one potential whistleblower knows he will be run out of Dodge by the AFL . More than one whistle blower is needed. Maybe a very principled guy like Howe? Are there any others at Collingwood, and do they still want to be playing footy in 2020?
