The whole rumour is just a diversion for the digital raping we are going to cop from Margetts & 2 of the ANZAC day umps on Saturday night. They’ve been setting us up for this for weeks - this will be their “feels like a victory” moment.

Even if it is true it would be a classic ASADA stepping over the line. It doesn’t mean he was playing high on coke (and supposedly enhancing his performance), it could mean that he had some several days ago and wouldn’t have benefited from it performancewise. They may have detected a residual amount of the leftover chemical breakdown which can take up to 4 days:

" Pro tip: Drinking alcohol and drinking cocaine will cause your body to store benzoylecgonine formed from the metabolisation of cocaine. If you are subject to drug tests and you consume cocaine, do not drink alcohol or caffeine as this will only slow down the process where benzoylecgonine is removed from your system via the urine.

It is being reported that Asada propose to reduce the penalty from 4 years for detectable residue of cocaìne use, to 4 weeks ( for residue levels tbd) in 2021.
Too bad if this bloke is still serving 3 years of his ban when the rules change. Its recognition that such minute residues are not performance enhancing. But almost guarantees massive coke parties after games preceding 7 day breaks. I keep trying to come to terms with the fact that cocaine is actually an illicit drug . Possession leading to a criminal prosecution is supposed to result in termination of players contract.

Where is the dislike button!

Pro tip: If you’re drinking cocaine you’re doing it wrong. Also, if you’re playing a game of AFL football on cocaine you’re doing it wrong.

I did a bushfire management course with a Colin wood. He was from Sydney so he didn’t care all that much.

You bet it’s a cover up.

The AFL off the record denial ? Exactly what an organisation would do, as part of a cover up process. If it is ultimately proven to be true, in whole or in part, the denial cannot be traced back to the AFL due to journalistic ethics and legislative protection of confidentiality of journalists sources.

Zero truth. Move on with your lives people.

AFL commission are investigating the source of the leak so they can name and shame. Good luck with that.

The leak?

A leak implies there’s something to be leaked.

If it’s just a malicious rumour, it’s something that’s been made up.

I meant rumour.

You’re in on it too!

How about we all admit to being the one who made it up?

Collingwood president Eddie McGuire has been forced to address with the AFL rumours that Magpie players were implicated in another betting scandal that went viral on social media yesterday.

Although there was no substance to the messages that every person in Victoria seemed to be aware of on Thursday, McGuire was so frustrated that he claimed on Triple M on Friday that an investigation was necessary to determine the source of the rumours.

“What happens in these things now, is everyone has a bit of a laugh … all of these things went through, we saw them at the club,” McGuire said.

"The AFL integrity department, this is a very serious department of the AFL, with the backing of Victoria Police, are investigating this.

"No one’s taking a happy go lucky view of this … it’s 100 per cent not true.

“But [it got] to the point where we had to ring the AFL yesterday [on Thursday] to just check if something was going on that we didn’t know about.”

The AFL was aware of the rumours on Thursday that claimed a group of Collingwood players were being investigated in relation to betting activity and were forced to respond to media enquiries about them.

They are understood to be monitoring the situation to determine what action, if any, can be taken to discover the source of such rumours.

Social media has led to an explosion of rumours about AFL participants and there are increasing concerns among the industry about their potential impact.

Ironically they needed a good bushfire manager yesterday
