Season 2020 - Collingwood

Yep, Eddie will have this story Killed by the morning.

Having said that, wouldn’t it be great to have a Prez who was willing to get his hands dirty to protect his players.

Would be nice not to have Sidebottom kicking goals from 1m out for once.

Eddie fluff piece to try and change everyone’s focus in 3.2.1…

Gee…
I wonder why it’s best to name the players…
We couldn’t give two shifts about them and we’re speculating within 20 minutes.
They’ve probably already been named on Twitter.
Yeah…
Better off to keep it private.

It is amazing at how quick the media were with the story of Conor, before anything from the AFL, however this time there is not much, HScum don’t seem to have anything at all yet.

So everyone was screaming to swing the banhammer on poor Connor for life for protocol breaches, when he done nothing, let’s see the consistency with two “actual” blatant breeches.

I lol’d at the bit where it says “we believed rigorous negotiations continue with Collingwood” in the AFL article :joy:

Eddie is farking good

AFL fed the media last time & were in self preservation mode

there’s only one big difference between conor and everyone else who’s breached, and that’s conor had the virus. of course it was gonna be a 10x bigger story

Thanks to Ollie Wines they must be suspended!

Is this enough to help us win?
A nice distraction to have Collingwood loose focus!

Given multiple breaches he might be up for more than 1wk

Especially with Vic gov adding further restrictions again after we’ve gone backwards. If AFL is to still being allowed to go ahead might need to be stronger penalty. Optics.

This is why it says “rigorous negotiations” with pies.

yeah, i think so. considering the vic numbers and it seems weekly players are breaching and the message isn’t getting through - I think it could be 2 weeks

The racists players who have breached could still test positive in the next few days…

Collingwood can confirm that players Steele Sidebottom and Lynden Dunn are under investigation for breaches of the AFL’s return to play protocols.

Investigation, conducted by President Eddie McGuire revealed the players did breach protocols, but because they play for Collingwood, the AFL has agreed to suspend their one week ban thus allowing the players to be free to play the Bombers on Friday night.

Allegedly multiple breaches - Uber sharing and one of them - allegedly - visited Wells, who is not in the pool of player/ staff contacts.
