Sounds an awful lot like the “contaminated steak” excuse for the Clenbuterol boys Josh Thomas and Lachie Keefe. Absolute rot!
Good Old Clenbuterol forever, they ate contaminated steak…
yep, i don’t think they thought it through to well.
cos if he’s been on the ■■■■ for most of the night from different places, and they are claiming that as a reduced intake, what the ■■■■ is his normal intake of alcohol during the season ???
So now it appears Sidebottom is lying to cover up what he did. Straight out of the Collingwood play book - just like Bucks can’t remember his mediation with Lumumba.
Add a few more weeks.
I don’t want to hammer the Collingwood players. As far as I’m concerned they have nothing to do with McKenna, who was treated appallingly because he contracted a deadly virus.
But, ‘give me a reduced sentence, I was blackout drunk and can’t tell you how many people I was in contact with’ has to be the strangest plea I’ve ever heard.
I see the Stevens tweet made it up already.
That just kinda sums it all up, doesn’t it.
“I can’t recall”
lol you can’t make this crap up!
Buckley:
"He hasn’t been drinking as regularly [recently]. In conversations with him, he probably hasn’t been consuming as much alcohol, and one of the theories is he wasn’t able to handle what he consumed at Howey’s [Howe] place.
"They’re all details that try to explain in some way what has happened in the evening, or Steele’s understanding of it.
How is Dunn’s memory about what happened at Howe’s place ?. And as for Wells recollection.
This investigation could be protracted beyond GF.
Farking lol
“Steele obviously needed to get help home and in his recollection can’t remember a lot around what happened that evening. He ended up finding himself home earlier the next morning,” Buckley told reporters.
Buckley conceded Sidebottom was so drunk he couldn’t remember exactly what happened in the early hours of Sunday morning.
“He’s quite embarrassed about the situation. He’s obviously remorseful about the decisions that were made, but he is also in some way confused about what has taken place. At some point, obviously, with his drinking he’s made some poor decisions, but his recollection isn’t that great,” Buckley said.
“He hasn’t been drinking as regularly I suppose. In conversations with him, he probably hasn’t been consuming as much alcohol and one of the theories is that he wasn’t able to handle what he consumed at Howie’s place. In the end they’re all details that try to explain, in some way, what has happened in the evening or Steele’s understanding of it. He’s a suitably embarrassed and very contrite, as you would understand.”
Yet he remenbered Well’s address
and how to book an uber
Hey Buckley.
Another of the theories would be that Howe shared some of his “special painkillers “ around with the boys, washed down with a couple of beers.
In my extensive experience, both personal & hanging around with “interesting “ people, that’s by far the most likely explanation for any memory loss.
So, it’s the Ketamine Seagull now.
How much ‘investigation’ is needed, really? He went somewhere he shouldn’t have, by means that weren’t allowed, and spent the whole night out getting wasted. What more do you need to know?
This girls been on fire lately! can we hire her at the club?
I’ll handle this one, for once my sporadic binge drinking can come in handy.
on occassions it’s mostly with mixed drinking, you don’t think it’s affecting you as such, you can be doing normal things you can function normally yada yada, you think hey i’m drinking excess and i’m feeling nothing, i know what the smart thing here is to do, drink some more.
Then at some point later in the night, it’s as if a tap is switched on and all the stored up alcohol hits you all at once, then you’re in la la land with no ■■■■■■■ memory beyond a certain point.
It’s a very legal question - they were Howe caregiving - no time limit on caregiving.
So the story is they were all unemployed in lockdown and… drank less?
Uh huh.
I’m not sure Nathan thought this would help
Apparently Sidebottom was only partially clothed. Must have a VERY low alcohol tolerance
