Season 2020 - North Melbourne

More truer words have never been spoken

Fixed.

Yep, worse confrontation that I’ve been in at the footy was a rabid north supporter cheering when one of our players (completely forgotten who) was carried off.

Who?

I seen a North cheer squad member who must’ve been 65+ abuse the hell out of a kid who was about 6 at the footy one day. Up out of his seat, across the aisle and into this kid who was just shocked. The dad didn’t really do anything. What are his options, bash the old bloke in front of his kid?

Anyway, People nearby actually went and got security and he put on a song and dance, but they ended up asking him to leave.

Actually the worse performance I’ve seen in the crowd.

Have they relocated yet?

Our drug dealer from uni days was a Roos supporter and almost vomited every time we talked Essendon. I thought he was just a random, and genuinely didn’t realise some of them have trouble getting through the day knowing we exist.

They’re a rare breed.

At the height of the saga, a norf supporter threw syringes into the Ess members area.

I don’t agree with this analogy at all.

I don’t enjoy North when i get back to my room drunk at 3am.

Okay, so how are north going to remain relevant this week? Spearhead their own Shinboner Spirit enquiry into Covid via Wuhan. Send Doc Larkins over.

Hate? People on here either hate too much on too many things or they are misusing the word. Reserve hate for things that really matter, like Nazism. l respect all opposition teams, knowing that on any given day they can beat us, or we can beat them.

FWIW my brother in law is a Norf member and an absolute footy tragic. Knows his stuff, not just about his own team but knows about plenty right across the league. He turned my sister into a Norf supporter as well, and two daughters. He works most weekends so he can’t attend games, l have been to a few games on his ticket.

I believe it is time for Blitzers to move beyond the petty labels and repeating the same tired old cliches about this team, and any other team. I know my plea is a forlorn hope. Carry on, whatever.

From Wikipedia:

Torn pectoral muscles are most often caused by forceful activities such as weightlifting, especially during a bench press exercise

I noted that when the players came back, Sean Murphy specifically pointed out that our players were being gradually brought back into pressing higher weights, as they typically only took a 30kg dumbell home. He said just because they could press 130 before the break, didn’t mean they could start doing that again straight off. ( owtte)

Wise words.

Thats bad for Majak given his time out of the game.

Cautionary tale **: March 2020, Majak is reputed to be the strongest player at North:

NORTH MELBOURNE – Jack Ziebell

“Obviously ours is pretty easy with Majak Daw being the strongest man in the gym. He pretty much spends 95 per cent of his time at the club with his shirt off. Go figure!”

** Dois reckons Zaka is the strongest at Essendon. Whatever happened to Hooker and Ambo ?
