Mcguire is an utter ■■■■■■■ with a clear history of racist comments. He’s been in charge of a club for two decades whilst a report - that they commissioned- found that racism was endemic to it. He should be out on his ear the moment that report landed.

And Gold Coast had a 100 game aboriginal player pretty…pretty close to when Collingwood and Hawthorn did.

The reason he won’t be denounced and this won’t happen is similar to the reasons that the rebublican party still support Trump.
He’s so dominating that he has become the club. Their identities are intertwined. Collingwood has become Eddie’s club, not the club Eddie us in charge of. And when someone gets that entrenched it’s almost impossible to voluntarily get rid of them.
Normally i would agree with you, but that presser was so so bad on so many levels. It just poured a dump truck of petrol on the already raging fire.
They are the benchmark, the low water level. The pressure on Eddie will only increase after this shambolic effort to yet again gloss over the problem. To claim there is no systemic racism at the club, when the very report they commissioned asserts there is is either the height of hypocrisy or the result of a huge cognitive blind spot.
Regardless, grab the popcorn and settle down to the smell of slowly roasting Magpie.
