Think there is a bigger issue at play here and it’s not just about family commitments - It is possible that Caro has embellished the information provided by her sources at StKilda but there is no doubt they wanted it in the public arena, as evidenced by no press statement or the like from StKilda - My view is that over 12 months of living in hubs or being forced into last minute changes of plans in 2021 which have forced most clubs into staying interstate for 2 or 3 weeks, eventually gets to athletes who are not prepared to tolerate it any more - You only have to look at the number of sports people who’ve been forced into periods of bubbles and quarantine who eventually say enough is enough.
