l venture to suggest that a suitable program for DeGoooey doesn’t exist, other than a deserted island. He is an habitual offender, a bit of a psych course and/or community service is going to do nothing to curb his behaviour.
Some guys just don’t get it, and he is one of them, he is unable to change or mend his ways.
Kollingwood has already got a program ready for DeGropey.
“ The Magpies community football program was created in 2008 as a crime prevention initiative for at-risk individuals in the Collingwood & metro Melbourne area.”
I make no further comment. Other than if DeGropey joined it’d lower the tone.

I mean they let krakeur back in after he did jail time, let swan continue after bashing a cleaner, didn’t sack Shaw when he partied with the king street shooter dude or drove off from a breatheliser, or tell Eddie to ■■■■ off after he made an ape joke in reference to Adam Goodes.

This won’t be a popular view here but they are going to rebound and do it fairly quickly in 2022.
They won’t be winning any flags or making top 4 or top 6, but they will be thereabouts for 8th.
Got a pretty strong history of responding pretty well after a disappointing season:
1976 - 12th (out of 12), 1977 - 2nd
1987 - 13th , 1988 - 3rd
2000 - 15th, 2001 - 9th (in the top 8 all year until the final 2 weeks of the season)
2005 - 15th, 2006 - 5th
2017 - 13th, 2018 - 2nd

The Collingwood board has considered an agreement on a conclusion to the legal matter faced by Jordan De Goey in the US, which was reached late today.
As a result of this in-principle resolution and based on further undertakings given by Jordan to the club, Collingwood has reinstated Jordan to its AFL program.
Jordan is able to return to training as of tomorrow, January 21. He was stood down on October 31, 2021.
He will do so under club imposed terms that he has agreed to.
These are:

- Acceptance of continuing and further support off-field and full co-operation with health professionals providing such support.

- A commitment to permanent, part-time work with the Salvation Army.
“Jordan is a Collingwood player and like all of our players he will be supported with everything that we have. We want our people, including those who make mistakes, to know what Side by Side means,” Collingwood president, Jeff Browne, said.
“We are pleased that the matter is resolved and Craig McRae and his team can get on with the pre-season.”
The club remains of the view that it was appropriate to stand De Goey down until the various charges he faced were dealt with.
With Jordan pleading guilty to a second degree harassment violation and agreeing to an order to commit to a corrective program in Australia, and all other charges dropped, the matter is resolved.
A second degree harassment violation will not result in a criminal conviction.
The club received in writing today an agreed settlement that is expected to be ratified at a hearing in the US on January 28.
