Season 2022 - Western Bulldogs

I think Hunter was in the old problematic clique with Stringer/Dahlhaus etc…then the dodgy car crash incident that occurred in 2020, that Bailey Smith got involved in (Hunter probably not a good influence on a new draftee).

I don’t know all the details, but it was said to me a few weeks ago that “Hunter might not be in the AFL much longer”, and then this announcement comes out.

So, basically, don’t spend much time discussing bringing him to Essendon.

Historically, coming out and saying ■■■■ like that means umpires will pay less frees going forward.

But, ehh, good on him. I have a soft spot for cocky/arrogant footballers, and he certainly has the ability to back it up.

Playing against the spirit of the game and getting booed for it is tall poppy syndrome now, is it?

Agree with this.

It usually eventually catches up with you.

Over the years guys like Lindsay Thomas and Michael Walters, once a lot of attention was brought to their diving and ducking tactics, the threshold for umpires awarding them free kicks seemed to get a lot higher.

And in fact in the end they probably missed out on some that other players would actually get due to their reputation.

So I hope that happens with this bloke.

Let’s see after a few concussions from ducking his head if he still exhibits that “skill set” in the future

you mean trying to win?
wish our players would play against the spirit more often.

No, I don’t mean that.

Yep, Walters cant buy a free these days.
Used up all his tickets.

I hope it costs the WB’s a final.

Hunter and Wallis missing this week for “Personal reasons”

Wallis probably sick of being the sub for the 89th week in a row

Only at Essendon right?

"In-demand Western Bulldogs ruckman Tim English’s career-best campaign is on hold, with a hamstring injury sustained at training this week set to sideline him for as many as three matches.

The 24-year-old was a surprise out when the Bulldogs released their team on Thursday night, and the club’s head of sports medicine, Chris Bell, has revealed the extent of his damage.

“On Wednesday at training, Tim English had the onset of some hamstring tightness,” Bell said.

“MRI and clinical tests have confirmed that he has a low-grade hamstring injury. The club is working through his return-to-play plan but expect Tim to miss the next 2-3 games.”
