Season 2023 - Collington

Christ that’s fkg sad. Imagine spending 16k on someones dirty clothing. Surely the proceeds went to charity?

Even snowdroppers steal clean undies.

Did they throw in some spare teeth as a bonus?

Never heard of the term when I got here 35 years ago, then did, and haven’t heard it for about 10 years or more :smile:

Daicos goes on to win a Brownlow and that jumper will sell for way more than 16k

Connolly has always been a Collingwood collaborator.

We really need dislike buttons for this type of thing.

It’s all true though.:sleepy:

What gives you that impression?

I LOVE Collingwood. There, I said it. String me up. Throw me out of the society for irrational hatred of football clubs, Make me watch endless replays of the Pies beating my team in the 1990 grand final. I can take it.

But I can’t fight how I feel. And somewhere along the line, my childish contempt for Collingwood turned to grudging respect, to, these days, genuine affection.

I admire their ability to come back and win games they should have no right to win.

I also hope that for the rest of the season they fall off a performance cliff and finish 9th by ½ a percent.

Genuine affection? Yuck.

If only our boys could do what the Pies have & continue to do. I am increasing getting more & more respect for their coach and players.

Its called never give in until your dying breath, they have it, regrettably we don’t and haven’t this century …. and this is why our club captains MUST breed a “bad loser mentality”, losing is never to be acceptable.

In closing Hepp, it ain’t just a job, & that statement is when you lost me & typifies you and the last decade of loser mentality at the EFC and why you were a very ordinary leader of men.

One thing Collingwood do better than any other club is make it clear that nobody or nothing comes before the clubs best interests,

They will happily punt guys who have a contract if they need to, so they can get the players they want

As soon as someone is of no use to them, they are gone

They couldn’t care less about people’s feelings, all they care about is winning games

If they cop bad umpiring decisions, they make sure it’s headline news.

I really respect that

Roco’s got this one wrong.

Do I like them? NO.
Am I finding it harder to dislike them? NO.

But they’re still not Fark Carlton.
And it’s Fark Carlton and then daylight in the hate stakes.

Fark Carlton.
