What got me is the club seems to have been oblivious too this and seemed genuinely surprised when the fan base showed that it was getting jack of precisely this factor. The club had literally taken it’s eye off the ball.
ultimately who knows where we will finish, we are just as likely to make finals as we are to finish bottom 4.
talent is there, like with every club
but the rest who knows
gameplan ?
adherence to the gameplan ?
fitter ?
will the coaches pick players on form and not name ?
chemistry between players ?
ACTUAL focus on defense ?
If scott fixes any of those issues then there’s again just as likely a chance of making finals than not.
If he doesn’t, well we know how that goes too.
least like last year we will know very early on in the season which path we are going to follow
Yep, if we don’t have hope then what do we have.
We have hope?
Hope so
Since 2009 the club had greater ambitions off field than on field. The massive Hangar project which continued through to 2022, and now, albeit in smaller scale, the seating opposite the hangar itself meant that growing or at least retaining the membership base was very important to the club. I believe the board and X were ■■■■ scared of potential overspend on the Hangar especially when the saga hit.
Can we now get back to making Footy #1 and stop trying to be a real estate developer and not worry so much about membership numbers.
Win games and the fans will come in droves.
Should be a fun entertaining year.
We should win more games than last year and when we lose BDB is going to put on a show losing his mind, smashing phones and headsets and outrageous facial expressions.
coach press conferences might become interesting again
no more learnings.
I’d love to see an Essendon coach spit the dummy at the ‘journalists’ at a presser. Reckon Brad’s got it in him.
To be fair, gams are fluoro yellow.
100% there will be!
Could be an all-time coach meltdown if we draw with the Saints, Scott & Lyon both going nuts.
As long as AFL accredited media jerks cop as much abuse as possible, I’m happy.
I would love to see Clako punching holes in the wall again.
Hopefully AFL fine to come along with it.
By round 3?
Sure if your watching footy on a Sunday twilight on Kayo.
that will happen thursday
14th.
