Season 2023 - Port Adelaide

fines are pointless given AFL will pay it.
given the horrendous treatment of our club over the past 10 years,
I’d be willing to accept butters or rozee for free as payment of past debt to us and penalty to port. I’d be fair about this and not demand both of them.

then I’ll consider the idea of moving on, but only after all of the other injustices are corrected.

Whichever doctor assessed the concussions will be interrogated so hopefully, they have some form of backup of the info they were working off. He could lose his medical license.
I’m assuming any club doctor would need a medical license just to work at the club. That doesn’t need to be stipulated by the AFL.
There are enough laws and policies around it for clubs to be aware.

Are they really that financially bad, I would have thought they we would be fine with members but then realised most of their supporters are from rough areas so probably not members

They had massive debt a few years back but have made some huge inroads into it and I think they will be debt free in a year or two. They aren’t flush for funds that’s for sure and are a bit of a penny pinching club

“Big penalty” probably equates to a $10000 fine and a compulsory head trauma course.

losing Draft Picks would hurt more

They should be docked four or even eight premiership points for their egregious behaviour.

This would also serve as a huge disincentive for other clubs to attempt similar shenanigans.

North would like that as it will give them a better draft pick. Losing next year’s first round would be better.

With the $$ wholly suspended until they reoffend.

Has to be points or picks with a fine because it should not happen.

Or maybe this explains the ads where Kochie is being dragged away by police?

Should be but it wont be.

$100k fine with $50k of it included in their soft cap and the other $50k outside it providing no more breaches in the club until the end of 2024

Meh. Endanger someones immediate and long term health, get a slap on the wrist. Nothing to see here. Move on.

So basically they have to fire some low level support staff member who had nothing to do with this (50k soft cap).

Soft as butter, and that’s with the concussion lawsuit stuff going on in the background. Somehow it would be even weaker without it.
