So I guess it’s within team rules that you’re allowed to go out hours after a game and get absolutely plastered. No wonder it’s a destination club
100% I mean, it’s not like he has a history of past indiscretions or anything
Hawkins hanging them up.
So we didn’t actually have to recruit Mckay then.
Wow, some serious retirements this morning.
Damn good key forward in a really tough era to be one. Brilliant forward craft to match an absolute hulking frame.
Great career.
Hepp next?
Zerk right now
Brad says SHUT YOUR CLAM
Well said. Tom monstered us but I always enjoyed watching him play. He’s a very likable character and a great player and leader for the Cats.
That wont get announced until our season is officially dead or if we stumble into finals by some miracle, on the eve of that final when it’s apparent he’s not gonna be in the team.
Yep, and with them going it means there are less and less compelling reasons to watch AwFuL. Martin in particular was a good watch… a great combination of brute force and footballing skills. Up there with guys like Leigh Matthews, Michael Voss, Jonathan Brown, Plugger Lockett, Hird, Carey, Ablett Snr… reasons to watch a neutral game.
There’s not too many footballers now that I’d cross the road to watch, let alone venture into town. If they were playing at the top of my court, I’d draw the curtains on them. I include most of our team in that too…
On thy first Tuesday following St Essington’s Day thou shall gift Dyson a 1 year extension
It will be the consolation prize after missing finals.

EFA…
Great career by Hawkins, one of the very few players to get better after 30. Was as good if not better than Dunstall in bringing others into the play and with goal assists
People forget how much grief he copped before the 2011 GF for not delivering on his potential and many had written him off as a player because saw him as someone who only ran in straight lines
Not surprised at the Hawkins announcement, give it a week or 2, Danger will get a top job with the AFL… others to go would be Tuouy. Blicavs, Duncan and their useless “Ruckmen”
Had a bit of an unassuming career in some respects, but he’s won 3 flags, made 5 All Australians, won a Coleman, 11x club leading goal kicker and will probably finish on >800 goals in an era where goals have been pretty hard to come by.
Great player. Great story.
