Maybe they’ll learn something. He’s a huge talent and has great footy IQ. Has been immense for the hawks this year.
I reckon we would benefit from a few Ginni types.

It seems poor planning to commit to a clinic the day after the B and F. I’ll also add that players are entitled to eight weeks leave under the CBA, which excludes the B and F.
The issue here is, this isn’t an engagement organised by Hawthorn, but by the players themselves, which makes it worse. They’ve knowingly agreed to this, I assume for some extra cash. It’s not like it was imposed on them by the club. In any event, if you know you’ve got something on the morning after the B&F, you should have the self control to not get bent out of shape so much that you’re not in a fit state to attend the following day. Poor form.
It’s not that hard to front up then go back home and rest. Van Der Haar would have turned up with a slab to share with the Mums and Dads.
I was listening to 774 a few weeks back on the segment with Malthouse and the host started talking about Mass and the all Australian team. Basically setting up Malthouse to talk about the Cinderella story of Mass. Malthouse just changed the subject. Said a bit in itself I thought.
Vanders would have just held the session in the backroom or beer garden of his local.
… and a carton of Marlboro Red
might show us his ducking/head high free kick technique.
Sounds like an idea for a TV show.
“Just sit right back and you’ll hear a tale, a tale of a fateful trip…
…with Ginivan, Guelfi too.”
’Worst day of his life’: Kids ‘in tears’ as Hawks cult heroes cancel clinic hours after awards night
The news was reported on Melbourne’s 3AW, where one mother, Vaissy, detailed her son’s devastation.
“More than disappointed — absolutely heartbroken,” Vaissy said. “He was in tears most of the day and said it was the worst day of his life.”
Ginnivan’s management told the radio station the young forward was unwell — but Vaissy said she didn’t believe it.
“They (the players) posted on Instagram around midnight. Nick Watson posted on Instagram yesterday afternoon — you don’t do that kind of stuff if you’re sick,” Vaissy told 3AW.
Vaissy revealed her son had even gone to the effort of making thank you cards for Ginnivan and Watson, who is nicknamed The Wizard.
“He made one for The Wizard, and it had a wizard hat on the front with Hokball written on it and the most beautiful words inside. And also one for Ginnivan, the same sort of thing, absolutely stunning, all in Hawthorn colours,” she said
“It was very hard to let my son down, because he was very excited to see two of his idols — he’s a massive Hawthorn fan. He was very disappointed,” Peter said
MONSTERS
The stuff about the kid made me laugh. He is in for a long life.
Christ what a beat up.
I remember rocking up to a session which Lloyd and Hird were meant to come to but neither did.
Parents need to use this as an opportunity to teach their kids that sometimes ■■■■ happens.
When I was little, I asked Shane Heal for an autograph and he looked me dead in the eye and said “■■■■ off”. LOL.
Shut up kid. Get over it.
James Hird came to my house once and kicked my dog.
Is that a euphemism??
Tania Hird ran over my dog.
You know how you kick a football to make it go through the goals? He did that to my Cavalier King Charles Spaniel. He was never the same after that incident.
Did it go through for a goal? You’ve had some bad luck with dogs.
OOBOTF
I would have torpedoed it.
