Season 2024 - North Melbourne

Some blokes never learn.
How much of being an AFL player has enabled his behaviour? We will never know that but he needs to be cut from the list, if the allegations are true.

Felt inevitable based on what had been seen on traditional and social media in the past. The chance that he turned into the off-field angel he had to be was almost 0. VERY relieved we didn’t shine the torch in our own face by trading for him like was rumoured early in the trade period.

Absolute ■■■■ of a person, thank god we didnt get him

From an on-field footy watching perspective only (this goes way, way beyond that clearly) this is a sad loss if that’s curtains (it should be). He could have been an absolute star of the game. Had all the attributes to be a brilliant player.

From the article…
The club CEO Jennifer Watt made it clear when the decision was made to bring him back into the club environment last year that Thomas’ career was in the balance.

“We’ll provide Tarryn with the structure he needs to give him every opportunity to demonstrate the required standards of behaviour,” Watt said in April last year.

“Tarryn has now been away from the club for a total of eight weeks across this year, and he has engaged in a series of education and training programs during that time.

Two points.

  1. Going on what the president of the club said at the time, if the allegations are true, then he is finished.
  2. The series of education programs haven’t worked. Not that it is any surprise.

It continues a long line of ■■■■ ups from him… you would imagine this is probably career ending (at least at North) …

But this isn’t your average sort of case either and well… cultural sensitivities (?) … might play a role in any decision made.

I’m thankful we didn’t trade for him.

Cultural sensitivity shouldnt play a part when it comes to beating women.

I am in 100% agreeance.

It doesn’t matter if you’re green, purple, orange … whatever … you’re a piece of ■■■■ if you do it.

Whilst nothing has been proven in this latest episode and we only have very limited details, the catalogue of indiscretions this person has acquired in recent years is now out of control.

He’ll keep playing. The AFL is weak as ■■■■ with this stuff. Clacko will run with “he needs our support and guidance”.

Another factor in whatever happens with Thomas.

It’s all about the optics… it will all be carefully being stage managed as we speak.

Calling it now: Sacked by North, year out of the game, preseason pick by Collingwood!

or Sydney, fits their no ■■■■■■■■■ policy and can probably keep him away from media scrutiny better than pies.

Is it true that our preference was to recruit both clakkko and this clown thomas, but they both stiffed us for norf smellybin?

Clakko yes, TT no

Yeah, but we took the real big fish - the talking point of the 2023 off-season - from North Melbourne.

We got Todd Goldstein.

Why is he being summoned to AFL house?

Are they the police?
