They have won 13 premierships since 1961 and at least 1 every decade (not in the 20’s so far). They have a reason to be arrogant.

They’re good to watch and Mitchell’s rebuild has been exceptionally impressive.
Mitchell is an arrogant little c*ckbag, but it serves no purpose deluding oneself.
They have a good list, and as it stands they look far more likely of contending the remainder of the decade than we do.
Heck…they contended last year as only a Sicily poster prevented them from advancing to a Prelim.
Who knows, they may have pushed Sydney.

In 2015 when they won their most recent flag, at that point I heard a statement that blew my mind. They were averaging a Premiership every FOUR YEARS since 1961 when they won their first one. That’s just fkg insane. ■■■■■■.

In all seriousness, they were very good last year.
However, it is important to remember that they caught the competition by surprise. They struggled to start the year then went on a big roll. They were also the sum of their parts all working at the same time.
This year teams will have spent a fair amount of time analyzing their strengths and weaknesses and will have worked on a plan to overcome them. No one will be caught by surprise this year.
So it will be interesting to see how they go and whether they can maintain their game plan or whether some of the parts are broken down, either worked out by the oppo or through injury.
It could go either way: either they continue to do well and build or; they run into a brick wall.

Media and footy experts need to cool their jets on the Hawks they got the jump on a few teams last year they are the hunted and teams would have done their home work can easily see them sliding backwards also have a tougher draw
