Pre-season premiership markets are always going to be biased toward form at the backend of a previous season.

Looks like Cam McKenzie could go to another level this year.

Even if they take a half step back this year, it’s obvious how they are trending.
They are not relying on their 2 oldest players at all in Breust & Gunston.
Even Sicily is only 30 and will be playing top line footy for years.
Midfield is young and stacks up.
No doubt they are on the right track and seem to be trending upwards just people need to calm down declaring as a contender

They’ve picked up 2 more than handy KP defenders which now frees Mitchell to play Sicily anywhere on the ground.
Mitch Lewis hardly played last year.
Even their best mid Will Day missed 9 games.

I’d much rather a highlight where Redman cops Ginnivan high near goal and umpire misses it leading to a brawl in the vicinity meanwhile Dylan Shiel picks up the ball running bouncing away from half back to the wing Kicks to Duursma at half forward who runs in and kicks truly from 35m out and then celebrates with the Arrow right into the Hawthorn cheer squad.

Shiel will be used like Zorko at Brisbane (among other examples). Plays defensive half but isn’t really taking an opponent.
