Injuries have cursed the Dons this year and this week, but a Hawthorn loss always needs commentary and the loss to Freo delivers a smug grin.
Also some serious concern about the balance of the list at Glenferrie.
Too many big blokes.

They also lack in the midfield to be a contender, I actually think they have an ordinary list, it’s just that ■■■■ Mitchell knows how to get the absolute best out of his players

If they can snare a home final (5th or 6th) and get Will Day firing, I reckon they are a good chance to make a prelim.
They are a completely different football team with him playing well.

Yeah Will Day is a difference maker for them.

I said it at the start of the season people went way too early lets wait and see hoe the season pans out before delclaring them a legit flag contender.

They will still make finals but most likely get bundled out in the first week
Too early to predict what any of those sides 4th to 9th will do in the run home.
Even the 2 sides above (Bris/Adel) aren’t that far ahead.
It’s folly to rule out the Hawks when they’re right in the mix for Top 4, have Will Day returning in a week, and Mitch Lewis coming off 5 goals in the VFL.
I doubt they win the Flag this year though.
