That is a long time out and would be a serious concern for such a young player at this stage of his career. If this time frame is accurate it does not augur well for his long term future in the game.

Gorths 22-26 age bracket are the ones that should be driving the club forward but they have failed to this point (Simpkin, LDU era)
Now they have to wait and hope that the 20 year olds do (Sheezel, Wardlaw etc), but these guys should really have been the cream. It’s going to take a few more years until they are top 8 competitive.

Simpkin, LDU, Larkey, Zuurhar, etc are doing ok individually. The issue is there isn’t enough of them, due to some poor list management decisions from 2015 to 2019.
North were never going to be good this year. Their new draftees are too young. I think people forget that most draftees aren’t Daicos or Sheezel and take 3-4 years to come on.
In reality, they started their rebuild in 2020, only four offseasons ago. They missed with Phillips in 2020, and JHF walked in 2022. They got Wardlaw for JHF, but he’s been injured.
They got the assistance package only 2 offseasons ago. They aren’t going to get reward for that for a few years
