I used to go watch Werribee play a bit and one afternoon declared Ben Warren was no good pre-game, only for him to come out kick 11 goals.

He would regularly play gigs at a pub I worked at ~10 years ago.
Looked completely different, great guy too. Would occasionally break out Wasabi.

He’s a mate of a mate of mine. Yep, nice guy. Great stories of being spat out by the music machine too.
These days he looks more like Dave Gleeson of the Screaming Jets in their heyday.

I played a couple of games with him at the Geelong Falcons many years ago. He was a quiet and humble guy, unlike some of the other egomaniacs involved in the program at the time (and he ended up playing more AFL games than them, too). As a player at that underage level no-one seemed to be able to tackle him, a very slippery customer.

They also had 2x C. Jones’ on their list at the same time that had the Harvey brother’s (then the next year they had two Rawlings).
Also surprised no mention of Ashley Watson - first round pick in the 2001 super draft that played half as many AFL games as Shane Harvey.
I also remember watching a VFL final and seeing Gavin Urquhart who looked like he’d be a 150-200 game player. Beautiful kick but barely averaged 10 possessions a game in the VFL.

The only game I can ever remember him playing he kicked 5 against the Tigs and looked like the second coming of Carey.

Most of my recollections are from AFL Live 2003 and AFL Live Premiership addition 
David Bourke, who played 1 game for them in 2003, played for Lilydale at some point. Would have only been 31-32 and was playing reserves.
Another ex-Norf player that went to Lilydale was Nathan O’Thief-I mean O’Keefe, who could seriously football but liked gambling too much as a kid and had sticky fingers off the field as well.
